Due to her busy schedule, we were unable to meet up with Luciana in person. Instead we indulged in the benefits of all this wonderful technology and undertook and e-mail interview instea!
Her new release ‘When It Feels This Good’ is already hitting number 1 spots in Europe and her track with Tiesto ‘We Own The Night’ is high up in the dance charts.
On Friday June 8th and Saturday June 9th she was in Darwin! We only had her for a few day, but Darwin! She still came!
And here are her thoughts!
1. What is your fondest teenage memory?
It has to be my first kiss, I was fourteen. All my friends had kissed a boy and it was something i felt that i just had to do. He was so sweet. I will never forget it.
2. When did you know you wanted to perform?
When I saw Annie Lennox perform on ‘Top of the pops’, i was hooked. I can remember watching her videos and re enacting them for my mum.
3. What is one thing you know now that you wish you new when you were younger?
OMG! so many things, but one thing that sticks in my mind the most is to enjoy the moment, to not worry what other people think and to really just to enjoy every moment.
4. Do you have some advice for the young aspiring performers of Darwin?
Yes, Never give up on your dreams. Set your self a goal and never stop till you’ve reached it and to stay focussed on the prize.
5. What do you think is the most pressing issue concerning young people these days?
It has to be that you should look a certain way to be accepted. It’s so important to be who your are. My advice is that your health is more important than being skinny. If you look after yourself , eat right, and exercise then whatever you look like after doing that is the best you can be. I say work from there, accentuate your best attributes and never let any one tell you you’re no good. Cos you’re fabulous
6. If you were an animal what would you be and why?
lol, I’d be a micro pig, cos they are cute as hell, and every loves them. x
7. Is there anything you would like to say to the wonderful young people of Darwin?
Yes, it would be live your life, every minute of it, never settle for second best and always do your homework…lol…. xxxxxx
