Your Favourite Enemies loves a promise whispering goodbye
I had been waiting to get my hands on YFE (Your Favorite Enemies) since I heard some of their songs on their episodes of YFE TV. I never expected to be able to get my hands on it while in Japan on their tour with Simple Plan. We got it before it was released online for everyone to buy. Every morning Yuku and I would listen to it before we headed out on our busy days with YFE and Japanese family. However I only really got to listen to the CD when I got back home and it was then I could actually grasp it.
The songs blew me away, especially the acoustic. I cried while listening to the acoustic version of ‘Little Sister.’ My soul was moved by the lyrics and I could relate a lot with ‘Would You Believe’. ‘Open Your Eyes’ is one powerful song with words so true. There is even a beautiful acoustic version on the album. ‘The Voice Inside’ is another song that I’m sure will move a lot of people. The other acoustics found on the album are ‘Midnight is Crashing’ and ‘No Time Left for Confusion’ which you will appreciate if you have or haven’t heard the originals on their EP.
I couldn’t be more proud of all the hard work that Alex, Miss Isabel, Sef, Jeff, Ben and Charles have done to bring us their stories, their experience, their feelings, their words and their music for everyone to listen. I would recommend this wonderful band as a great listen. You can check them out on myspace.com/yourfavoriteenemies or check them out on ITUNES.
