Jumper

David Rice (Hayden Christensen) was an ordinary teenager until an accident occurs and he falls through ice covering a river but manages to transport himself to safety.

He discovers that he is in fact a ‘Jumper’ and soon leaves his old childhood home. Over the course of the next 8 years, David Rice travels all across the world and lives a consequence free life. That is, until he is discovered by Roland Cox, the paladin (Samuel L Jackson) who uses his futuristic technology to attempt to kill David.

The film is based on the 1992 science fiction novel “Jumper” by Steven Gould. The idea of people being able to jump to different locations is interesting enough and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately it’s been ruined by pretty actors who only know how to pose and a rather stupid mindless script. In other words, this movie is a waste of time and is not worth seeing at the cinemas. Wait till it comes out on video if you like going to the cinemas to see quality movies.

Like always, this is my opinion of the movie and I’m sure it’s got some good points but I frankly can’t see them.
